If you'd like me to visit your school to do an author talk
you need to ask your teacher first.
Your teacher would ask if other teachers in the school are interested.
The teachers could then contact me directly.


Teachers

I charge New Zealand Book Council rates.
You can book me to come to your school through the New Zealand Book Council or email me directly.

I am prepared to travel around the country but will need to charge for travel and accommodation expenses outside of the greater Auckland area.

I can talk to 1-4 classes at a time.

I could visit your school from 9.00 until lunch time
Or
Better still - for the whole day (author talk until lunchtime then workshop until hometime).

I can talk to your students about being an author and a bit about each of my books or
I can speak about a subject that fits into your Social Studies or Science Topic such as: Native Birds, Predators, Working Dogs, Volcanoes, Marine Environments, Caring for the Environment.


I use props, puppets, power point, a DVD and get lots of participation from the audience.

I can make my talk suit New Entrants to Year 8 students.

On departing, I will give the teachers a teaching resource that can be used in the classroom that complements my talk.
